Squarespace Reserved URL Slugs

What is a URL slug?

A URL slug is the exact address of a specific page or collection item on your site. Squarespace automatically assigns a URL slug for each new page or collection item based on its title. As an example, if you create an ‘About Us’ page then the URL slug will usually be “/about-us”.

Reserved slugs

However, there are certain URL slugs that you cannot use. These are reserved by the Squarespace platform, so if you’re importing content from another site and want to retain a URL slug like ‘account’ or ‘cart’ then you may be out of luck.

• checkout
