Welcome to SF.DIGITAL, a small family business based in Northern Ireland, dedicated to improving the usability of Squarespace websites around the world. We use our experience and specialist knowledge to build high-quality websites on the Squarespace platform. We think Squarespace is the βAppleβ of websites. The platform is intuitive and user-friendly and allows anyone with a creative background to build websites that clients feel comfortable updating.
In addition to building websites and online stores, we also develop and build a range of popular add-ons that improve Squarespace website performance discoverability and conversion. These can be purchased as pre-built solutions that you can install yourself. Every product is supplied with a step-by-step installation guide and is backed up by full online support.

Hi, Iβm Paul. Iβm the Founder and Managing Director of Soundfocus Digital Ltd, trading as SF.DIGITAL.
Iβve been a passionate advocate for Squarespace since the early 2000s, back when Anthony Casalena, the Squarespace founder and current CEO would personally answer my support emails. Over the years, Iβve become a vetted Squarespace Expert and a long-time contributor to the official Squarespace Forum (see Paul2009). Iβm also proud to be one of the founding members of a small but incredibly supportive and talented group of humans - the Squarespace Circle Community Leaders. As a Circle Community Leader, I regularly meet with Squarespace teams (developers, designers, product managers and leaders) to preview upcoming features, share community feedback, and help shape the platformβs future.
I studied Software Engineering and Electronic Engineering at university before working in a variety of exciting roles. I have worked in video and music production, and worked internationally, across Europe, the US, and Asia, for prominent organisations, gaining a unique blend of technical expertise and diverse experience. I am experienced in many creative and business disciplines including:

A short history of SF.DIGITAL
I originally founded SF.DIGITAL to build better websites for the education sector, but like many small businesses, everything changed in 2020 when COVID-19 hit. Everything changed. Schools closed. Bricks-and-mortar businesses struggling to get online. What started as a crisis response quickly became a mission: to help small businesses survive and adapt by improving their digital presence.
That period also marked a turning point in how I worked. Until that point, I was being hired to troubleshoot Squarespace commerce sites, adding features that clients needed but the Squarespace platform didnβt offer. My work was rewarding but time-consuming, and even when I worked long 12-14 days during the lockdowns, I could only help a handful of people.
Squarespace Plugins are born!
Thatβs when I realised something important: many business owners were facing the same problems, even if they didnβt always know how to describe them. So I pivoted from one-to-one custom solutions to building robust, installable βpluginsβ that people could add to their own sites. No costly custom work was required. With the world still in lockdown, a few family members jumped in to help with admin and support, and just like that, a new business model was born.
Fast forward five years, and weβre still growing, evolving our plugins, launching new ones, and continually improving them based on real-world feedback. Every product we offer is shaped by the needs of the community and built with care.
