Squarespace Cart Changes [16 March 2021]
Squarespace rolled out the flawed cart update that they rolled back on 29th January 2021. This change adversely affected all custom code on the cart page, including style changes, custom scripts and third party products.
This change caused exactly the same issues as it did in January. No amendments were made! Squarespace refused to roll it back this time, stating that the update was necessary and could not be avoided in the long term. In a statement after we complained about these changes, Squarespace said βPlease bear in mind that the [cart] may change [again] without notice [leading to further failures]. Product and Engineering teams are aware of the challenge this poses to usersβ¦but we donβt have a timeline for possible solutionsβ.
