Change the Squarespace date format to DD/MM/YYYY

Although Squarespace has a worldwide customer base, the platform is still primarily aimed at customers in North America.

This is obvious when you add a date field to a form. It will always appear in the North American format MM/DD/YYYY and there isn’t a setting anywhere that will change this.

A quick CSS hack

However if you are based in the UK, Australia, New Zealand or anywhere in Europe, and your customers are all local to you, then you may appreciate this quick hack to reorder the DD and MM fields so they appear in the order DD/MM/YYYY.

It’s a small snippet of CSS that you can add to Design > Custom CSS. This simply moves the MM box to the left, and the DD box to the right, swapping their order!

When the CSS is saved, the boxes move!

Depending on your template and the fonts you have selected, you may need to adjust the positions slightly. The example has been calculated in pixels (92 pixels, -48 pixels and so on).
