Text formatting toolbar not appearing when editing Product Additional Info [November 2021]

The Rich Text Editor (RTE) toolbar is not appearing when editing the Additional Info section for products. The toolbar may sometimes appear but it is intermittent.

This has been confirmed I can confirm as a β€œtechnical issue” by Squarespace. On 23rd November 2021 they stated β€œWe’ve reported this to our Engineering team, and they’re currently prioritizing the issue”.

There is a related issue that causes the Block editor UI not to appear in the same section.

Resolved November 2022.
