What we do
We focus our energy on building stunning websites with clean modern design to help communicate your message.
Why we do it
A website should express who you are as well as what you offer. We want to tell your story, what you strive for, and what kind of values you hold dear.
We also value good design and attention to detail. It shows the importance you place on serving your customers and helps you stand out from the crowd.
How we do it
We're different. We're not a design agency or a branding firm. We're website designers and programmers. We make the process of creating a new website a fun and engaging process and we put all our focus and energy into it.
We combine design with research in a process called User Centred Design. This may sound like a fancy phrase but in practice it means we carry out research during the project to ensure we concentrate on real user needs. This helps us to build sites that users enjoy visiting because we focus on the user's experience or UX.
When projects are large we don't spend more than two weeks working on a design without testing it with real users. We use an iterative approach, working in cycles of build, test, learn and repeat. We build prototypes. It's usually quicker to create a concept in code these days than to do it on paper. On a fortnightly basis, we give the prototype to users to see how they interact with it and we talk to them about it. Then it's time to learn from this testing and research, by analysing, sharing and communicating the knowledge that we've gathered. In this way, the decisions made are influenced by real user insights allowing us to create the best possible outcome.
Why choose us?
The best website designer is one that will get to know your organisation, learn about your plans and the challenges you have. They'll design a site that puts you in the driving seat and then help you to feel comfortable there. Finally, they'll be there to provide a helping hand whenever you need it, seven days-a-week.
If you’re looking for a new website designed by someone based in Northern Ireland, then get in touch.
What's the catch?
There isn't one! Tell us about your vision and we'll give you an estimate of how much it will cost and how quickly it can be achieved.
How easy will it be to manage my new website?
We proudly build all our websites on the Squarespace platform. Known for its ease-of-use, Squarespace is a fantastic platform for websites of all types. You won't need any software as all the tools are built into the Content Management System that is the behind-the-scenes part of the website. You can drag text or images onto the page and re-arrange them by dragging them with the mouse. There's even a built-in spellchecker.
What about mobile devices?
We have mobile in mind. All our sites are produced with a Responsive Design that makes your website compatible with mobile devices.
How reliable will it be?
Our website is built and served on the same powerful infrastructure as yours. It's all handled on a grid of servers that already serve more than 1.8 million websites, receiving millions of hits per day. It scales up as you receive more traffic and is immune to simple hardware failures.
How much will it cost?
The budget is determined by the estimated number of hours required to design and build the website. We recommend you contact us for a quotation. Build costs typically range from £500 to £8000 but it really does depend on your requirements. Do you need a few pages to describe your business or an e-commerce site with custom content management, custom databases and targeted landing pages?
By way of an example, consider a requirement for a Belfast based Nursery School with 5-10 pages. It will typically cost £500 to design and build this site, including:
- Responsive design (mobile/tablet friendly)
- Contact form
- Photo gallery (with drag-and-drop functionality to upload images)
- Administrator training (one hour 1:1)
In this example, running costs are £30 per month (charged annually), using a software-as-a-service model. This includes:
- Website hosting
- Website support
- Full use of the simple-to-use content management system to keep your site up to date
- Metrics to analyse your visitors and determine popular content
- Social media integration for example tweeting your updates
The web is fast moving and isn't really suited to periodic upgrade projects. For a fixed monthly fee we can provide more flexible, ongoing and iterative website management services to grow your web presence, so it continues to provide value for your organisation. Plans start from £30 per month for priority access to an agreed amount of time.
