Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

Are you looking for more visitors to your website? Trying to figure out how to get people to your website can be one of the biggest challenges for any company doing business online, and that is where our SEO experience comes in.

Search engine optimisation or SEO is the process of attempting to improve your site's ranking in search results. While the factors search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo use to rank sites are kept secret and change frequently, we build all known SEO best practices into every site.

We’ve used our experience to implement various strategies to help your site appear in search engine results.

Site map

We automatically generate and link a proper sitemap file in xml. This enumerates every URL and image metadata on your site with proper priority for perfect indexing.

Clean HTML markup

Your website will automatically produce pages with clean HTML markup that is indexable by search engines. There’s no need to to add <h1> and <h2> tags in HTML. Just select a Heading style, and those tags are created for you.

Automatic tagging

Images contain proper <alt> and <title> tags, improving search engine indexing. All meta tags for pages and <link> tags for RSS feeds are automatically generated. Image descriptions are converted to <alt> tags.

Clean URLs

All primary pages on your site contain clean URLs that are easily indexed and read.

Search engine and page descriptions

Each page is assigned a title and your site's search engine description. These might appear below your site title in search results depending on the search terms used.

Built-in mobile optimisation

Google gives a higher priority to sites that are optimised for mobile and all the websites we've designed since 2012 have been built for mobile compatibility. Pages on our websites 'responsive' which means that they adapt for the smaller screen sizes of mobile devices.

We also follow best practices for page size, so that pages load quickly. Our image loader detects the screen size of the device being used and automatically selects the appropriate image size to send to every device and screen - including Apple devices with Retina Displays. Our Progressive Image Loading capability means that images at the top of your page load first, making your website faster and more responsive to visitors.

Built-in security

Security is a top priority for Google and a big part of that is making sure that websites people access from Google Search are secure. They've been encouraging all website owners to switch from HTTP to HTTPS to keep everyone safe on the web. They now use HTTPS as a ranking signal, giving higher priority to sites that are secure.

All sites that we've built since September 2016 are built to be secure from the ground up and are served with an HTTPS address, using Transport Layer Security (TLS).
